Overview
Experience Little Havana at your own pace and rhythm on this immersive audiowalk. Discover how Miami's story was shaped by the Cuban Revolution in 1959, as Cuban immigrants began to arrive in the area. A Cuban narrator will take you on an emotional and nostalgic journey through the colorful historic neighborhood of Little Havana, letting you immerse yourself in its history like never before.
Your tour starts in front of the Little Havana Visitor Center, where you'll discover the story of these early Cuban immigrants. Learn about crucial concepts and locations like the Calle Ocho festival, the Tower Theatre (where Cuban émigrés would watch films in Spanish), and the famous Domino Park. Officially named Maximo Gomez Park, in honor of the man who fought for Cuba's independence, it's now famous as a site for local domino games.
You'll also hear about Celia Cruz – one of the most famous Cuban singers – and see the Paseo de La Fama, before ending at the Cuban Memorial Boulevard.
