Discover 750 years of Berlin history in miniature
At Little BIG City, the unique history of Berlin becomes an exciting experience for everyone. With attention to detail we brought the great moments and little stories of the last 750 years to life in a very special way. More than 100 historic buildings in miniature, 30 projectors, 15 holograms, countless projections, modern lighting and sound effects and more than 6,000 figures make the history of the city exciting and come alive.
Travel way back in time to the humble beginnings of Berlin – where you help our little BIG residents to build the great Berlin castle and compete in an interactive medieval ring race. See how the ingenious Industrial Revolution changed the face of the city in the 1800 - 1900s. Be a guest at the 1,000th Locomotive party hosted at the Borsig factory and meet some of the greatest thinkers, explorer and poets of the Industrial era.
Now it’s time to revel in the glitz, glamour and decadence of Berlin in the Weimar Republic in the 1920s. Marlene Dietrich or Harry Houdini – who will you pick to perform on stage for you? Witness the world changing events of 1933 with the burning down of the Reichstag brought to life on a totally new scale. Captivating cinematic-style projections recreate this epic event that had world-changing consequences. Discover the devastating effects of World War II and how it shaped Berlin in the 1940s. See how the rubble women helped clear and reconstruct the city.
Experience the stark reality of life within the divided city in the 1960s – 1980s. Witness how the East and West were split in two by the Berlin Wall and see how we brought to live the most spectacular escapes from East to West. Have a go at pushing down the Berlin wall yourself and celebrate one of the most iconic moments in history.
New in 2020 – Fly over Berlin. What better way to finish your magical visit to Little BIG City than with a magnificent flight over the city? Enjoy a thrilling ride over and through Berlin and discover its incredible landmarks and untold stories. The new 4D cinematic ride provides you with the sensation of flying over modern Berlin in a classic “city –iconic” Trabant.
